VI COMMANDO

L/Cpl. Lawrence Robert Sullivan, formerly of the Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment, served with No.6 Commando.

L/Cpl. Lawrence Sullivan was reported as being Killed In Action (KIA) on 9th June 1944, aged 21 years.

Lawrence was the son of James and Ann Sullivan, of Bellingham, London; and the husband of Joyce Kathleen Sullivan, of Portslade, Sussex, and was laid to rest in Ranville War Cemetry (Calvados, Normandy, France). Grave IIIA.O.2.

The inscription on his headstone reads:

‘In loving memory of my dear husband.  Rest in peace.'
